PARENTS

We believe in you.

We believe that parents are essential for the growth of a child and that growth should come from Christ.

We believe that parents need to be encouraged to know that they are able to be successful whether parenting alone or with a spouse.

We believe that parents should be involved in their children's lives while they play in sports.

Leading your children: Ephesians 6:1-4

PARENTAL CODE OF CONDUCT

  • I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators at every game, practice, or other sporting event.

  • I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent including (but not limited to) booing, taunting, refusing to shake hands, or using profane language or gestures.

  • I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well-being of athletes.

  • I will demand that my child treat other players, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect at all times regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or ability.

  • I will never ridicule the officials or coaches for their authority during games and practices. I will never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the gymnasium, but will present my frustrations in an appropriate manner, taking time to speak with coaches at an agreed-upon time and place.

  • I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices, unless I am one of the registered coaches for the team.

  • I have read and will also abide by the 5 rules for players in the Expectations document.
